Securitas USA’s Accelerate leadership program has been awarded Gold in the “Best Leadership Development Program” category at the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards. This recognition is a tremendous honor, as thousands of entries were submitted this year, and only a select few were recognized with the gold distinction.
Developed in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), Accelerate was designed as an immersive six-month journey to cultivate strong leaders and high-performing teams across Securitas USA. The program was built to strengthen collaboration, enhance talent retention, and instill an enterprise-wide innovation mindset, all while creating a shared language of leadership that connects and unites leaders across regions.
About the Accelerate program
Launched in 2022 and running through 2024, Accelerate was a mandatory program for all Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), Vice Presidents of HR (VPHRs), Region Presidents (RPs), and select division leaders. Over the course of six months, participants engaged in:
- CCL’s 360 assessments for personalized feedback
- Immersion learning to deepen leadership understanding
- Executive coaching to strengthen individual growth
- Interactive virtual learning sessions to foster collaboration
Through this journey, leaders focus on four key outcomes. First, they learn to collaborate across boundaries—building trust, alignment, and stronger partnerships that span teams and regions. They also strengthen their ability to lead high-performing teams by fostering clarity, accountability, and shared purpose to accelerate results. Equally important is developing and retaining talent, creating a culture of growth and engagement where employees feel empowered to thrive. Finally, leaders are encouraged to lead with an innovative mindset—embracing fresh ideas, learning from challenges, and driving meaningful change across the organization.

Accelerate was more than a leadership training initiative; it was a foundational step toward establishing consistent leadership standards and equipping the organization to scale great leadership across regions.
