Each year the ASIS Foundation chooses 20 members from applications submitted by chapter chairpersons to receive the Allan J. Cross Award. The award is given to promote security education, as well as foster and encourage members to be active participants in the organization. Recipients are entitled to an online certification review course for either the CPP or PSP certification. Last year’s winners included Area Vice President Kelly Becker from the Pacific Region.

Kelly joined Securitas in 2009 and has held a variety of positions, including Branch Manager and Region Manager for Training & Development. In her current role as Area Vice President in Orange County, CA, she is an active member of the ASIS Orange County Chapter, where her investment of time and resources to support the ASIS Global Conference in 2015 when it took place in Anaheim, CA earned her recognition and a nomination for the award. Further demonstrating her commitment to her local ASIS chapter, Kelly was recently elected Chapter Treasurer for 2017.
